HIGHWAY EXIT

Mid August in Athens. In between short holidays on various greek islands. Trying to catch our breaths after months of constant effort.

In July, as planned we recorded vocals and guitars for the new album with Aris Christou at SCA studio. Not all 12 songs but definately 10 are ready to be mixed in September. Our new member Anthony, has added a distinctive twist to the sound and presence of the guitar in this album. Soon you will be able to find out for yourselves when the first single comes out.

In the first few days of August we moved to the Macia studios, residence of mister Dimitris Karpouzas for the drums. It’s the first record we’ve ever done with real drums in all tracks. Jay was a perfect professional, completing the task in less than a week, in a few very short sessions. That fact saved us enough time to get ready for the two incredible gigs in Mykonos and Samos on the 8th and 9th of August with Fischerspooner and the Stranglers. Both nights to remember, with a slight preference on the second night at Ireon of Samos where we were “allowed” to party until the first light of day. An incredible town with people really crazy for rock n’ roll that we won’t forget! You can check out some photos from that night here by photographer Andreas Schwarz.

And that brings us to this one week (maybe two) of nothingness. In September there are 2 shows already confirmed (check out our myspace or homepage for dets) and the last phase of the album process that we have to tangle at the same time, amongst a few other things that we have planned for this autumn/winter. We so wish we could stop everything for two whole months and just focus on the album, so that we could deliver it to you the soonest possible, but that seems unreal right now – everything must be done on schedule and nothing can stop! However, I feel confident that we won’t keep you waiting for too long. After all we already have a couple of brand new songs in our live setlist for a first dip.. “Be The Devil” and “End Is Near” will blow your helmet off. Promise

We are very happy and proud that so many of you liked and embraced our collab with Dimitra Galani in “Tipota”. The whole album (‘Pixel’) has become part of our summer soundtrack.. try it. Some of you have been looking for the english lyrics of the song that we added and so here they are:

PS. Faith No More kicked ass in Athens last week. I got me my first FNM T-shirt. I’ll show ya heh
