In the first part of this blog about the Just A Crash album facts and trivia, I mentioned a few films that were in our heads when we wrote the songs. One more song that is somehow related to a movie is the album’s second song, ‘Electron’. In the first few seconds of the track a female voice speaks the words “I wanna live a real life”. 
This is a line taken from American Beauty by Sam Mendes (leading actor Kevin Spacey’s line in particular), an incredible script with a strong statement about contemporary America and the Western -decaying- society in general. The soundtrack was magnificient too. Another fact about ‘Electron’ is that it was originally written in greek back in 2006. Maybe someday we will release that version too. Or maybe not.

-Forgive me father for i have sinned. Its been too long since my last confession and my sins are starting to feel heavy on my back..
I havent made peace with myself yet father. I create to be loved but no love is returned. People are cruel father. People will stare. People wont love you for the words that you say. Am i vain father?
A whole album almost ready. In August we get into SCA studio for the final recordings and mix. I’ve been wiriting lyrics like crazy the past two months. Thnk God for the last 4 gigs in April and June, pushed us so much further into our musical subconscious.. Nick has written the best music he’s written in years this month and since Louie joined the band in the end of March, the sound feels more solid than ever. I am currently doing some test vocal recordings at at home and so is Louie with Nick for the guitars. Just to name a few titles from the new album: “Done B”, “Fairytale of One”, “Better Not, “Highway Exit”, “Lil Story”, “Electron”, “Paranoid GF”, “On and On”, “Innocence” and some more.. maybe we’ll upload one or two demos of these tracks on myspace soon, just to get an idea and keep the flame burning..
Meanwhile I gotta send a huge thnq to our photographers Achilles and Adamantia, Jason for the incredible body painting he did on me at the Music Day Festival (Prive Tattoo), Teo at SCA studio for the constant sound treatments, our beloved incrdible beautiful manager Nat, Amanda and Chara for photos and videos, Jojo for being Jojo, Dianne for the words and all our friends for their support, understanding and love these last months..

So its like we got two gigs in the next two weeks and we are crackin to get everythin ready for y’all..
The set is now more than 1 hour of Cyanna’s electronic rockin beats.
We’ve added 4 brand new tracks the last month (“Electron”, “Fairytale of One”, “Lil’ Story” and “On and On”), something that makes these gigs quite interesting and challenging to us.. Dont miss out 
Some nice trivia for the 4 new tracks:
- Electron features greek lyrics, the first in more than 2 years..
- Fairytale’s lyrics started off as a poem by Amy and me back in 2002 thru daily emails..
- On and On is kinda like a tribute to one of our favourite bands of all time.. it features 15” of one of that band’s greatest moments..
- Lil Story is actually just the second part of a trilogy to be completed soon. The full title would be: “Lil Story II – My Song”.
